HOLLYWOOD -- The 2014-2015 season was full of injuries and doubts after Anthony Davis tore COMO a new one in November. But he appears to be back in full form now.
The Hornets big man only started 47 regular season games in Hollywood, but his crazy production (34.28 average) allowed him to easily outrun all other MVP challengers. It doesn't appear as if he'll slow up at all during the playoffs, either. He just posted a 53-bone night to open the postseason on Monday. Here are the final MVP voting results: 1. Anthony Davis, Hollywood 2. James Harden, Colorado 3. Stephen Curry, Shorewood 4. Pau Gasol, Shorewood 5. Chris Paul, Hollywood 6. DeAndre Jordan, Duval United 7. LeBron James, Minneapolis/Shorewood 8. DeMarcus Cousins, Chaska 9. Marc Gasol, Kansas City 10. LaMarcus Aldridge, Shorewood The All-COMO teams will be announced tomorrow (Wednesday).

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- The talent supply is never-ending on the Sunset Strip.
With Hornets general manager Curt Clauss facing a tough offseason in which star point guard Chris Paul is likely to be released, the GM can take solace in the fact that Andrew Wiggins will be returning at a cheap price. Selected No. 2 overall in this summer's inaugural COMO Rookie Draft, Wiggins contributed 15 starts and a 14.93 average to the Hornets. Monday, the league office named him COMO Rookie of the Year. Clauss could not be reached for comment. HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — We'll see you next year, kid.
The Hornets' Anthony Davis completed an amazing final week of the regular season with a 63-bone performance that included 40 points and 21 rebounds. His average of 48.67 over three starts is a new COMO record. This is Davis' second career Player of the Week award, and he is a currently a fringe candidate for one of the league's All-COMO teams (announced this coming Wednesday). COLUMBIA, Mo. — Hollywood Hornets big man Al Jefferson collected his first COMO Player of the Week award this season with 34.50 bones through four games.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Finally, some good news for Hornets fans: Chris Paul picked up his second COMO Player of the Week award on Sunday night.
Too bad the team has dropped from first place to eighth since owner Curt Clauss ceased to be involved with basketball operations. The move left absolutely no one in charge of a promising team that quickly derailed. When reached Sunday evening, Clauss called his star point guard "Cliff Paul" before announcing the veteran demanded a trade. "Hornets ownership refuses to comment," Clauss said. There is still time left in the regular season (10 weeks) to turn the squad around, especially if star sophomore Anthony Davis is activated from the injured reserve. A playoff run is still possible, but change needs to start at the executive level. HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — As far as Hornets owner Curt Clauss is concerned, the road to the COMO title runs through southern California.
Team captain Chris Paul set the bar high for the rest of the league this week. He averaged 39.67 COMO points in three games (27.67 points / 12.0 assists / 3.67 steals) and barely outdueled teammate Anthony Davis (38.67) for player of the week honors. Paul's 56 COMO points on Halloween night led all scorers this week. After Davis nearly matched that with 54 on Saturday, Clauss was ready to guarantee a championship in 2014. "I take cash or credit," he said. |
